About Dr. Dueger

Stephanie Dueger, PhD, is an author, educator, and coach for expectant and new parents. Her passion is helping expectant and new parents to both have an easier transition to parenthood and provide their babies with a gentler landing into the family.

With a background steeped in Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology and Health (PhD), as well as Counseling (MA) and Education (MA), she brings an unusual depth of experience and understanding to her coaching work with families. Grounded, gentle, and humorous, Dr. Dueger is a relatable guide who has helped hundreds of families navigate their way to greater health, connection, and ease.

Her book, Preparing for Parenthood: 55 Essential Conversations for Couples Becoming Families (2020), is the book she wishes she’d had for herself when first becoming a parent. Grasping on both a personal and professional level the challenges that can arise in the transition to parenthood, Dr. Dueger is committed to helping make things easier for other families on this journey.

She facilitates experience-based courses and coaches families online, presents internationally, and has been the Editor-in-Chief of the academic Journal of Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology and Health for the past three years. Dr. Dueger looks forward to reaching a larger audience with her upcoming podcast, Prepared for Parenthood, and having a more expansive, positive impact on parents and the new beings they accompany into the world.

Dr. Dueger lives in Colorado with her husband, their two daughters, and friendly furball of a dog. When she’s not working to try to help make the world a better place, she can usually be found outdoors with those she loves, just enjoying it.
